Dylan’s concerts to be enjoyed in 2019 are a melancholic vindication of a lost time, which coincides with that of his childhood, perhaps with that of his unlived nostalgia. With more than half a century of artistic activity and with his characteristic way of combating his myth by attending only to his passions and personal obsessions, Dylan remains an extraordinary cultural icon. With a repertoire that has varied over time, Dylan will go through his extensive discography without forgetting some of his greatest hits, already considered anthems and heritage of historical musical culture.

This tradition began in 1993, with the first modern Xacobeo, when Bruce Springsteen inaugurated the Auditorio do Monte do Gozo, where later artists such as Prince, B.B. King, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Arcade Fire would perform.

The Auditorio do Monte do Gozo has hosted top level artists, but never so many at the same time as in 2004, with a festival called «Concertos do novo milenio» that brought together names such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Iggy Pop, Muse, The Corrs or The Cure.

That day left one of the most particular anecdotes of these events: before Dylan’s performance, the Californian artist Gary Jules was scheduled to perform, but the members of his band were delayed and Eva Amaral, who had come as a spectator, was in charge of livening up the wait.

Before Muse, Jónsi, the vocalist of the Finnish band Sigur Rós, had performed on the stage of Monte do Gozo, while after the British band it was the turn of Pet Shop Boys, although many of their fans in Galicia could not attend, since their incorporation to the festival was announced when there were no tickets left.
